The weimaraner club was formed by a group of like minded owners to organise activities together to promote and share their love of the breed.

The club held it’s first conformation championship show in 1984, and in 1990 started running an annual best of both worlds competition.

We have owners of both long and shorthaired weimaraners in the club who enjoy their dogs for a wide range of purposes (hunting, conformation showing, obedience, tracking, field trials, agility and pets). We continue to hold a yearly conformation championship show (usually in conjunction with Canterbury Show week) as well as our popular field trial as part of the Best of Both Worlds competition.

Our club facebook page aids in helping organise get togethers as well as allowing more regular sharing of news from our club members all around the country.

We have a comprehensive newsletter produced three times a year. A great club library full of books and magazines members can borrow. And we also run “Weimaraner Of the Year Competitions” which includes awards in conformation, agility and obedience/tracking.
